We are pleased to announce that Chuck Huey has joined KBKG’s Atlanta team as Senior Manager and leader of the Southeast Research and Development (R&D) Tax Credit Services group.
Chuck comes to KBKG with 10+ years of working in the Atlanta area, exclusively on R&D tax credits leveraging his experience as an engineer. He has assisted companies in identifying, calculating, documenting and defending millions of dollars in federal and state R&D credits. Chuck has worked with pre-revenue startups to billion-dollar companies in a wide variety of industries from manufacturing to software development, pharma, food & beverage, and more.
Prior to his time in R&D tax services, Chuck worked for seven years in a variety of engineering capacities including manufacturing engineering and process improvements, serving in sectors such as metals processing and fabrication, industrial products design and assembly, and government contracting.
Chuck has been in the Atlanta area since 1997 when he first attended Georgia Tech as a freshman. He graduated from GT in 2001 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and has remained in the area ever since.
When he isn’t spending time with his wife, two boys, and English bulldog, you can find Chuck coaching youth sports (primarily baseball and football) and cheering on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and Auburn Tigers. He is also actively involved in First United Methodist Church in Newnan, Georgia.
