Business Development Manager

Location: Northern California Territory

Key aspects of this position:

We are currently searching for a highly motivated, professional business development representative to help grow our sales in Northern California. The primary responsibilities of the Business Development Manager will include:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Securing new CPA and Tax Services clients
  • Maintaining current client relationships leading to additional growth within those accounts
  • Preparing and presenting solutions to large and small businesses
  • Negotiating contracts
  • Execute sales plans and strategies as directed by corporate management team
  • Selling various services including Cost Segregation, Green Building Tax Incentives, Employment Tax Credits, R&D Tax Credits

 
Requirements:

  • Self-motivated and thrive on being results-driven
  • Must have 5+ years of OUTSIDE SALES EXPERIENCE SELLING A SERVICE (not a product)
  • Ability to grasp complex sales scenarios, you will need to learn sophisticated tax concepts and laws
  • Previous experience selling to CPA’s preferred
  • Have a clear understanding of the sales process and be skillful at relationship building
  • Previous experience in presenting and closing to C – level executives
  • You must have a sense of urgency to close a sale, while being very customer service oriented
  • Highly proficient in the use of CRM software
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Financial Services Industry sales experience a plus, ADP – Paychex – Robert Half
  • Previous experience in Payroll, Payroll Services a plus
  • Experience selling tangible products or services
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good problem solving and time management skills
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Previous success in growing a territory

 
Position will report directly to the Director of Business Development and will work closely with the business development, marketing, tax and engineering departments.

Estimator / Construction Engineer

Location(1): Pasadena, California
Location(2): Wichita, Kansas

Requirements: 2-4 years experience in one of the following areas:

  • Estimating
  • Construction Technology, Engineering, or Management
  • Engineering – architectural, civil, mechanical, or electrical

 
Functional Background and Specific Skills:

  • A desire to develop your career towards a professional business and consulting environment, rather than traditional engineering or construction management while still developing and enhancing your technical skills
  • Estimating experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills, and superior communications skills
  • Experience with computer software such as Excel, Word, and Access
  • High level of motivation, willingness to work hard, and the ability to work independently while being an exemplary team player

 
The first nine months are devoted to technical skill building while working on a variety of projects. You will work in an exciting group of professionals with extensive experience. KBKG, Inc. is a fun and social place to work and you will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of social events. Eventually, you will be managing your own projects and will have extensive client contact. Projects typically last from one week to a month. Assignments are managed and performed in the Pasadena office, which is located near the heart of the Pasadena business district.

This job will report to the practice director. The candidate will be called on to go into the field and gather data for our studies. Fast-paced, rewarding, with great growth opportunities.

Senior Estimator

Location: Los Angeles Area

Requirements:

  • 4 to 20+ years of construction estimating experience required
  • Proficient at MS Excel and MS Word
  • Knowledge of RS Means and/or Marshall and Swift
  • Part Time – Work on your own schedule

 
The Sr. Estimator will work out of the office as a subcontractor for our Cost Segregation Division. We will assign him projects and specify a due date for each. It will be the responsibility of the Sr. Estimator to coordinate these projects with our clients and deliver analysis estimates based on our timing commitments. This candidate must have the ability to manage their time well, have good organizational skills, and be flexible with their schedule.

Cost Segregation Senior Manager/Director

Location(1): Pasadena, California

The cost segregation group of KBKG, inc. in Pasadena, California is seeking an experienced individual with cost segregation experience to manage entry-level & experienced engineers in our rapidly growing cost segregation consulting group.

Requirements:

  • 7 years experience
  • at least three (3) years’ of which should be in a senior management capacity

 
Responsiblities:

  • responsible for overseeing, training, and managing all KBKG staff engineers
  • assist senior management in preparing proposals for tax and related issues
  • manage projects individually to ensure accuracy for optimal client satisfaction
  • research technical issues and case laws as they pertain to the cost segregation analyses
  • Working with clients and CPAs to procure data related to acquisition or construction and to ensure client satisfaction
  • Review of all final reports and schedules that support findings from analysis

 
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, construction engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and/or architecture
  • at least three (3) years’ of which should be in a senior management capacity
  • At least 5 years’ experience in cost segregation
  • Experience with managing/training professional staff in an aggressive business environment
  • Availability to travel regionally and nationally
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, & Access
