Kristin Sullivan is a Manager for KBKG, specializing in Research and Development (R&D) Tax Credit, and is based just outside of Chicago, Illinois. Kristin has over 16 years of corporate tax experience, including nearly a decade focusing solely on R&D Tax Credits. Kristin’s role at KBKG involves performing detailed quality assurance reviews for client R&D tax credit calculations and deliverables. These reviews ensure client R&D credit calculations and deliverables are accurate, compliant with all applicable federal/state tax laws and IRS guidance, well documented, and sustainable if audited. Kristin also advises clients on tax matters related to federal and state R&D tax credits. Kristin has been part of several teams that have successfully defended client R&D claims before the IRS and state taxing authorities.

Before joining KBKG, Kristin Sullivan was responsible for managing all aspects of R&D Tax Credit studies for clients in various industries including software development, manufacturing, electronics, sporting goods, food & beverage, beauty products, architecture, ecologic engineering, and algorithmic trading. Kristin has consulted and worked with engineers, scientists, software developers, and C-Suite personnel across the country to conduct R&D studies and save clients millions of dollars.

Kristin Sullivan earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy and Master of Science in Taxation degree from Northern Illinois University. She has been a licensed CPA in the State of Illinois for more than 14 years. Kristin holds dual citizenship in the US and Ireland. In her spare time, Kristin enjoys golfing, traveling, spending time in the great outdoors, and volunteering with local animal rescue organizations.
