PASADENA, CA, – Nationwide tax specialty firm KBKG promoted Sumit Sharma, CCSP, to principal effective January 1, 2022. Sumit leads the firm’s cost segregation practice in the northeast out of their Manhattan-based office.
As a Principal, Sumit specializes in Cost Segregation and Fixed Assets. Sumit has over 17 years of experience conducting fixed asset depreciation reviews, purchase price allocations, cost segregation studies, Section 179D energy-efficient analyses, repairs and maintenance cost analyses, and pre-construction tax consulting services.
Throughout his career, Sumit has been responsible for project management, client deliverables, business development, recruitment, mentorship, and coaching. Sumit is a public speaker and has presented to the New York Society of CPAs, Pennsylvania Society of CPAs, and hosted webcasts. As an author, his work has been published in Accounting Today.

Sumit leads the firm’s northeast cost segregation practice. The office is comprised of tax experts, engineers, economists, energy consultants, and more who assist in qualifying, documenting, and defending tax incentive claims for clients.
