>Our Cost Segregation & Fixed Assets Principal, Sumit Sharma, will be speaking at NYMS this year during the Value Add panel discussion. Along with him, Alexis McClellan and Justin Brumfield will represent KBKG. The New York Multifamily Summit will take place on Thursday, May 12th in New York, New York. This event is New York’s annual gathering for local and national multifamily investors, operators, developers, and other professionals active in the New York City metro area apartment industry.
About the New York Multifamily Summit
After twelve years of successful events, NYMS has become a reliable annual gathering for local and national multifamily investors, operators, developers, and other professionals active in the New York City metro area apartment industry.
This year, we look at the New York apartment industry as a contrarian play for investors, weighing the chronic undersupply of units in the region against the current headwinds that make the short-term outlook a bit murky. We tackle how the pandemic has changed things, including how units and properties should be designed and managed, as well as how investor appetite, risk tolerance, and type has changed.
We’ll also look at some of the more noteworthy development projects as well as the bread-and-butter buy-and-renovate value add strategies that have been hamstrung by recent rent laws. Affordability and attainable housing remain extremely important topics to be addressed at the conference, alongside the market for luxury condos and everything in between.
This year’s event is scheduled for Thursday, May 12, 2022, 8:00 am at the New York City Bar Association.
