The Interest Charge-Domestic International Sales Corporation (IC-DISC) is a Federal tax incentive designed to encourage U.S. businesses to export products and certain services. This incentive provides permanent, annual savings by allowing income to be taxed at a 20 percent qualified dividend rate rather than higher ordinary tax rates.
Introduction to Cost Segregation

Cost Segregation is a tax strategy that identifies and classifies assets and costs for federal tax purposes. Certain assets within the 39-year depreciable life can be classified as personal property or land improvements with a 5, 7, or 15-year rate of depreciation using accelerated methods. This one-hour introductory course will provide background information, depreciation rules, and how a cost segregation study is performed.

This course will cover the fundamentals of the Research and Development (R&D) Tax Credit. Including the history and recent developments, project qualifications, calculating the benefits, the chronology of a typical project and common issues.
Tangible Property Repair Regulations

The IRS issued the final Tangible Property Repair Regulations on September 2013 and Final Disposition Regulations in August of 2014, which modify and supersede the Temporary Regulations that were issued on December 23, 2011. While this is the fourth iteration of the Repair Regulations the IRS has released, it is the first time they have issued them in final form. These final and proposed regulations are effective for tax years beginning Jan 1, 2014.
